Judging Team Schedule

This group meeting is held generally from January to June each year. This is open to current 4th-12th graders. Students learn to select quality cattle, goat, sheep, and swine based on industry standards. They take several field trips and meet at local farms or the UT-TSU Extension Office. This group meeting is held generally from March to June each year. This is open to current 4th-12th graders. Students learn wildlife identification and wildlife management practices. They take a field trip to Knoxville each spring and meet locally at farms and the Extension Office to learn about this topic. Contact us for details.

This is a new group to East Tennessee. Students learn identification of items in home interior, clothing, sewing, and food preparation. They evaluate a variety of products based on given standards and must also give a presentation of specified life skills. This contest is open to 4th-12th graders generally in January to June. Students learn to evaluate a soil profile for homesite and production properties. This contest is open to 4th-12th grade students generally in July to October. Contact us for details.
